THE FINAL WHISTLE

Copero legacy score: how your football career is rated

Understand the five-part score, position-adjusted contribution, and the thresholds behind every Copero retirement ending.

A transparent score out of one hundred

Your Copero legacy is the sum of five categories: peak ability, role contribution, team honours, consistency, and career length. Each component is capped, and the result screen shows the points and explanation for every category.

The score is a summary of this fictional career. It does not rank real footballers or claim that a short simulation can measure the full quality of a sporting life.

Peak ability: up to thirty-five points

Peak ability uses your best recorded positional OVR. A rating of forty or lower contributes zero points, while ninety-five earns the full thirty-five. Values between them are scaled and rounded.

The score remembers season ratings rather than looking only at your declining retirement attributes. Changing position can change OVR because the weights change; that is an intentional consequence of asking the coach for a new role.

Role contribution: up to twenty points

For attacking roles and central or attacking midfielders, contribution compares goals plus assists per appearance with the expected involvement rate for that position. The result is capped and averaged across completed seasons.

GK, CB, LB, RB, and CDM use clean sheets per appearance instead. Each season is evaluated using its recorded role. This prevents a goalkeeper from receiving a poor contribution score solely because they did not score goals.

Honours, consistency, and career length

Team honours contribute up to fifteen points, reaching the cap at eight trophies. These are fictional team trophies generated from league position and a bounded cup chance, rather than named licensed awards.

Consistency contributes up to fifteen points for averaging thirty-two appearances per completed season. Career length adds up to fifteen points for twenty completed seasons. Playing longer creates a chance to earn more length points, but injury and late-career decline can still affect the record.

The five retirement endings

The final ending follows a fixed threshold. Scores of eighty-five and above earn Football Legend. Seventy to eighty-four earn World-Class Star. Fifty-five to sixty-nine earn Club Hero. Thirty-five to fifty-four earn Professional Veteran. Lower scores earn Unfulfilled Potential.

These ending names are score labels. Club Hero does not require a one-club career, and Unfulfilled Potential is not a diagnosis about the player’s hidden potential value. The breakdown is the more useful explanation of what happened.

Keep the record you actually played

The result card uses totals summed from your saved seasons, plus your peak rating and final ending. Downloading it creates a PNG in your browser. It does not create a server-hosted result page.

Your save remains on the same browser unless site storage is cleared. Before starting over, download the result if you want to keep a visual record. Public share links, cross-device sync, and leaderboards are not available in this version.
